I want to precede this by saying that I think Bioware is the greatest game software company in the world today (greater even than Blizzard). I bought a 360 a few months ago and the first thing I did was scoop up every Bioware game they had made.

The problem is, I don't know how well Bioware can make their single-player prowess translate into a multiplayer experience. To put it simply, when everyone's the hero of the story, no one is. I do trust Bioware to make great lore, and what they will invent would be enough to make me play the game alone.

However, I also would have more preferred they take the Jade Empire or Mass Effect world to an MMO platform instead of KOTOR. Jade Empire and Mass Effect are both properties that Bioware owns, so they can take the lore where they want. Time placement aside, Star Wars still doesn't belong to Bioware, so they are still constrained by Lucas Arts in where they can take the story.
