How is it that more people aren’t into lore? It’s the best part of the game. Without it, even our favorite video games would be little more than advanced versions of pong. Andrew Stroscher thinks way too much about games. It’s one thing to read the quests, another to read them slowly, and yet another to write about them on your own game-lore blog. Such a person would have to be an obsessive, story-loving masochist. Andrew Stroscher is a screenwriter.
Andrew Stroscher (aka Cocles) does other things too, such as web-writing, iOS development, and voice acting, but screenwriting is where it’s at. Andrew Stroscher procrastinates by growing carnivorous plants, talking about cars, and paying too much attention to what he’s reading in-game.
If you wish to contact Andrew Stroscher, please feel free to do so as that would assist greatly with the aforementioned procrastination. You may even learn why Andrew Stroscher enjoys writing his full name so often. Andrew Stroscher.
Andrew Stroscher has a Twitter feed he never updates. He also has a Facebook page, as well as a Google+ profile.

It’s easily one of the greatest mysteries in Star Wars lore…”What happened to the Sith species?” This then begs the question, does SWTOR offer us any clues? Yes. It does. But don’t get too excited. The Sith were already “extinct” in Darth Bane’s era, so Lucasfilm still has a window of some 2500 years to [...]

In WarCraft lore, there is an orc military commander who is descended from a famous orc war-hero. He is revered among his people, has served as a close advisor to Thrall, and there is even a named axe that has been passed down through his line. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? Except it isn’t Garrosh– it’s [...]

Just a quick review before I get back to my usual posts. I’ve been playing SWTOR since early closed beta, and I’ve been especially enjoying it since pre-release began. (There’s just something about knowing your character is now “yours” and won’t be deleted after a few weeks.) I’ll keep this short and sweet, since I [...]

So I have a question for all of you… If you’ve been here awhile then you know Loregy is technically a site about game lore in general; I just happen to talk about WoW most of the time since I know that’s what you enjoy. For the past few months though, I’ve been trying out [...]

He’s the most potentially awesome character WarCraft has introduced in years. Wrathion, the Black Prince, the last black dragon on Azeroth. An impressive title, but that’s not the best part. The real kicker? The Red Dragonflight used Titan technology on him, before he was hatched, to purify him. So unlike Deathwing, unlike any other black [...]

I’ll be updating this post as we learn more Mists of Pandaria lore, but for now, there are a few things we can surmise. First and foremost, Blizzard is obviously further sub-dividing the originally expected “Maelstrom” expansion. This is a very big deal. Why? Simply put, it could mean we’ll have not five, but six [...]

I’m going to start this post differently. There have been a lot of requests to discuss Sylvanas Windrunner, so I imagine many of you will be happy to see this. That said, if you really want to understand Sylvanas Windrunner in our post-Cataclysm world, you need to read the short story Edge of Night. Period. [...]

He’s arguably the most badass orc of them all. Sure, Thrall can lay down some hurt, but when it comes to just busting heads with an axe (the way an orc should), it’s hard to beat Varok Saurfang. So when Cataclysm came out, what did Blizzard do? They decided to stuff Saurfang away for safe [...]
